DMX Goes Court Hopping In July

DMX will be making two Arizona court appearances on the same day in July to face various charges including animal cruelty and reckless driving.
As reported earlier, DMX's house was raided in August 2007 after authorities were tipped that dogs were being abused on his property.  12 malnourished pit bulls and the remains of three dead dogs would be found on the rapper's property.
DMX, who wasn't at the house during the August raid, was arrested and charged on seven misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty earlier this month after authorities raided his house again.  In their second raid, police found five pit bull puppies and  marijuana.
Two days before the second raid, DMX was arrested and charged with reckless driving, speeding and driving on a suspended license after he was captured on stationary cameras driving his 1966 Chevy Nova II at triple-digit speeds.
According to The Arizona Republic, DMX will face the animal cruelty and marijuana possession charges in a pre-trial conference in Maricopa County Superior Court on July 2nd followed by an appearance in Scottsdale City Court to face the speeding charges.
Adding on to DMX's legal woes,



he is also currently under investigation for allegedly using a false name at an Arizona hospital to avoid being billed.

The Irish short celluloid 'The Sound of People' has been selected to screen as part of the programme for the public famous Sundance Film Festival in the US.
The Herbert A. Simon Fitzmaurice-directed shoot is the exclusively Irish Gaelic short to be chosen for the International Dramatic Boxershorts program at the fete in Ballpark City, UT next month.
Only 19 films in total have been chosen for the International Dramatic Boxershorts programme.
'The Sound of People' stars Capital of Northern Ireland actor Steve Martin McCann as Stephen, an 18-year-old wHO travels into his past tense and future tense in the space of a second.
Commenting on the film's natural selection, writer-director Fitzmaurice said: "I am utterly over the moon approximately getting into Sundance. Everyone worked mettle and soulfulness on this photographic film and this is a wonderful response."
The Sundance Plastic film Festival runs from 17 to 27 January 2008; the new Brendan Gleeson and Colin Farrell-starring photographic film 'In Bruges' will open the fete.

People magazine reports that the rapper's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said that the court orderliness barring Britney Spears from seeing the children is "painful, merely appropriate".
He said: "Kevin's non indifferent to how difficult it has to be on their mother (Spears) and on the kids. It's a sad situation. There's no victorious flavour."
"Kevin wants null to a greater extent than to be able to parent his children with participation by their mother."
"But the best interestingness of the children command that they be in the most sound, safe, nurturing and consistent environs. That is paramount."
The attorney also said: "[Kevin] is committed to trying to fill any evacuate by him existence in that location at whole times for them in any way. He can't supersede their mother in their life just he is loss to taste to minimize the hardship."
